Our Projects
Belmont Men’s Shed has many knowledgeable members who willingly share their knowledge and skills.
Our shed is well equipped and is an ideal place to work individually on personal projects or together with others on initiatives to support our community. Following are just some of examples of the activities we are involved in. We invite you to visit and follow our Facebook page to see all the latest happenings.
The Shed makes toys and gifts for sale. Our men also work on their own projects and provide help for community projects such as Little Free Libraries in the City of Belmont.
The Men’s Shed can also repair items on a service for donation basis.
The Belmont Men’s Shed is making Bee Hotels for sale.
Did you know that bee populations in Australian are declining due to the clearing of trees and shrubs used by native bees in our towns? You can help some native bees find a nest by setting up a Bee Hotel in your garden. The bees in your Bee Hotel will help pollinate both your local wildflowers and your veggie garden.
Contact us if you would like one for your garden.
Our men work on their own projects and help on community projects. This picture shows the beginning of the restoration of a beautiful park bench for our Belmont community.
Our men can also repair items on a service for donation basis.
Our garden is a club project with all our fruit and veggies going to our members. We teach our members about gardening and how they can develop their own garden at home.
Belmont Men’s shed holds bi-monthly meetings to educate our members about their mental and physical health and well-being.
Useful links to support men’s health are provided on this site.
The Belmont Men’s Shed members also go on trips every two months to different sites of interest around Perth. For example, we recently visited the recycling plant at Redhill Waste Disposal. We also visit other Men’s Sheds around our state.
